Here’s what’s included in this latest release! Whether it’s a helpful update, a smoother workflow, or a small fix that makes a big difference, you’ll find it listed below. Take a look – you might spot a change that makes things easier or more fun! And if you have thoughts to share or ideas for future improvements, we’d love to hear from you.
Inspiring new templates
New templates spark creativity and simplify design, giving you a fresh starting point for social, print, and branding projects.
- New blank templates are now available, including a T-shirt preset and social media layouts for LinkedIn and Instagram, plus fresh designs for mugs, flyers, and more. Browse the latest by selecting Newly added under All categories on the Home screen.
Smoother editing, smarter workflow
Smarter editing and workflow enhancements streamline object editing and make multi-object adjustments quicker.
- You can rename a project on the navigation bar – just click the current project name, and then edit it directly in the dropdown menu.
- More flexible path editing: Multiple nodes can be selected together simply by dragging the cursor over them. Once selected, you can quickly edit, move, or resize them all together.
- Smarter multi-object adjustments: When multiple objects are selected that have the same gradient-fill angle, transparency settings, outline width, or shadow properties, you can quickly adjust those values for the entire selection group. And you can simultaneously adjust character and line spacing for multiple text objects that have the same attributes.
- Improved shape editing with better control over fills and outlines: A black outline appears automatically when no fill or outline is set, so shapes are easy to see while editing.
- Black and white adjustment for multiple photos: Edit a bunch of photos in black and white in a single step, saving time and effort.
- Correct color display: Object color displays as expected when transparency is toggled.
Enhanced saving and exporting
Enhanced export options give you more control over bitmap quality, while improved auto-save ensures your work is saved no matter the file size.
- Versatile bitmap export: Set your own resolution, tweak settings, and pick the quality that fits your project.
- Improved auto-save: Even with big files, your edits are securely stored for uninterrupted progress.
Performance and stability improvements
Improved stability and performance across many areas of the app, along with faster startup, make it easier to stay focused and create without interruption.
Better asset search, browsing, and naming
Improved search and browsing help you find assets faster, while consistent naming keeps the Object panel organized.
- Enhanced search makes it easier to find the perfect vectors and photos for your project.
- Thumbnails in the Stock assets panel stay consistent within each tab when switching between the Photos and Vectors tabs.
- Stock assets now follow consistent naming conventions on import, keeping the Objects panel clean and organized.
A simpler, more focused workspace
We’ve made several improvements to help you stay focused and work more efficiently. From a cleaner interface to better performance, here’s what’s new:
UI refinements
Workspace elements have been refined for a cleaner, more consistent experience across panels and tools.
- Refined expand and collapse icons enhance the look and feel of the Properties, Objects, and Color panels.
- A red outline appears around panel input boxes when invalid information is accidentally entered, while the wait cursor disappears as soon as operations complete – both improving visual feedback.
- Dropdown previews for line styles and arrowheads are now sharper and more accurate.
- Project colors, ready to go: The Project colors palette automatically displays all relevant colors when you open a template or a new project, so you can apply colors faster, without extra steps.
- Consistent color pickers: To make color selection more intuitive, color pickers are now consistent across the app. And when using CorelDRAW Go in Google Chrome on Windows, color pickers in the Properties panel behave as expected.
Relevant controls, when you need them
Relevant controls appear when you need them, helping reduce visual clutter and keep your focus on the task at hand.
- Context-aware controls: Crop and Adjust now appear only when editing bitmaps.
- The Properties panel now displays sections like Size and rotation, Fill, and Outline in a consistent order, making editing faster and more predictable.
- Intuitive locked objects: When a locked object is selected, no settings are available in the Properties panel except for the Unlock button. Clicking that button makes the object editable and displays all relevant controls in the Properties panel.
