SVG Export issues with text

Hi, I’m testing out CorelDRAW Go and so far like it, some important advantages over Adobe Express like the ability to upload my own fonts. I exported a logo design as SVG and there’s an issue though: some of the text isn’t displaying, and looking at the SVG code, it looks like text is not being converted to vector shapes, there are font definitions instead. That’s a huge problem if trying to use the SVGs on the web etc. Are there any plans to fix this, or is there an option to convert text to vector shapes that I’m missing?

Thanks!

Hi @Userblahblah welcome to the community.

Would it be possible to attach (or send me as a direct message) a sample file (and the steps you are using) you’re having problems with so I can try to replicate it?

Thanks @Scofano – I must be missing it but I don’t see how to message you, can you point me to how to do that, or send me a message that I can reply to? I exported an SVG, a PNG, and downloaded the .cdr file. It looks like the SVG really would only work if there’s a way to convert the text to vector paths during export or before, but would love your thoughts on this.

I’ve sent you a DM.
