I don’t see a way to apply a bitmap fill to an object. Is this something that is planned for the future? As a current workaround, if I apply the fill in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, I can open the file with the fills applied. However, I can’t do much with them. I don’t see a way to COPY that fill to another object, as right-click dragging makes a duplicate and doesn’t allow for a COPY PROPERTIES. I also haven’t found an eyedropper for applying properties… any help would be appreciated.
Hi Buzzi,
You are right, currently there is no way to add bitmap fills and there is no eyedropper for applying properties. The best workaround I can suggest now for bitmap fill, is to use the masking function.
Select the shape, right click and convert to mask - drag an bitmap into the frame.
We appreciate your feedback and will bring it back to the team for consideration. Thank you!
Thanks for the possible workaround, and we’ll see if we can make it work for us. The major difference between using masking (or Powerclips like I’m used to) is the ability to have a repeating pattern and small filesize. The majority of our designs are between 2 and 6 feet wide, and to have a 24"x48" bitmap fill is a bit resource intensive compared to a 12"x12" fill that can repeat.
